The equities trading business is currently experiencing a period of exciting growth and seeks a motivated professional to join our Equities Execution desk in the capacity as a junior retail and institutional dealer/ trade support analyst.

Role

Junior Dealer / Trade Support Analyst

• Based in Sydney CBD
• Financial service industry experience
• Experience around dealing rules and understanding of Compliance.
• Timely placement and monitoring of orders on ASX / Chi-X/ SSX and International equity for clients (both institutional and retail) with a high level of customer service.
• Ensuring that all transactions are in accordance with the ASX Operating Rules, Chi-X Operating rules, ASIC Market Integrity Rules, the Corporations Act and all internal policies and procedures.
• Management of Counterparty Risk and requisite compliance
• SME on all new product and technology changed within the dealing environment
• Work and support a team of Sales Traders and Retail advisors across the business.
• Maintaining relationships with various technology providers and execution venues.
• Assisting the Front Office team with Client Account Opening, Allocation of trades and risk management.

Qualifications/ Experience Required:

• Direct experience in a DTR capacity within a Wealth, Retail or Institutional environment
• RG146 qualification
• Exposure to IRESS.
• Strong interest in technology
• Strong organizational skills
• Impeccable communications both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure
• 1 to 2 years experience.

Desirable

• Requisite accreditation including ASX DTR qualification.
• Exposure to Bloomberg and other trading/ market data platforms.
• Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously
• Exposure to Operational functions including Client Account Opening, allocation of trades and risk management.
• Bilingual in Mandarin and English.
